Guest guest
I am getting fresh dill at the organic farm in my farm share bag. I've never used fresh dill before. Can someone suggest ways to use it? My husband doesn't think he likes it. The only recipes I know are for dilled potato salad-neither of us like it, and for pickles. Guest guest
Take it from a Swede, we dill up our food, but remember it is very strong. Don't let it fool you. Take some springs and add to macaroni salad and potato salad. I really love fresh dill. You only need a little bit and use it as a garnish. I like to make dinner rolls and add dill to the dough. I also make a pizza with only sauteed onions, garlic and sprinkle some fresh dill on top and bake, no cheese or sauce. Guest guest
My G'ma always put a little sprinkle of dill on her steamed string beans with a little butter also. Yum! Guest guest
Lucky you! We got some in our first CSA box in early June and now I'm fighting the bugs for what I planted. We adore dill.and I throw it in many dishes. I usually use more than the recipe calls for. Many tomato dishes are perked up by dill. In fact, I use it in a lot of side dishes such as corn and green beans. I've used it in sandwich spreads. It goes well in breads and rolls; there is an old Pillsbury Bake-Off recipe called Dilly Bread. Michelle Dixon <Petagoatjunction I am getting fresh dill at the organic farm in my farm share bag.
