Hi All

I'm here in Veggie Heaven, better known as England. I have been

eating all kinds of Quorn which I love. I am disappointed that my

favourites - sausages and also peppered beef sandwich slices are not

available in the US. I was hoping to have some in SD next month.

Oh well, I've got 2 more days to chow down on these things.

My daughter has an allotment where we have been picking veggies

almost every day - green beans, runner beans, peas, broad beans,

carrots, beets, zucchini, rhubarb, and lots and lots of potatoes.

Wow, they taste good when there's only an hour between the garden and

the dinner plate.

She also had tomatoes, peppers and eggplant in the conservatory. If

I had lots of money, I could live over here.

I hope everyone is having better weather than we are. It's pouring

rain today and cold out.

Check out Whole Foods or Trader Joe. They carry Quorn products and may have

what you are looking for.

Also check out the Worthington Frozen products. They have a vegetarian smoked

" beef " luncheon slices( " turkey " , " chicken " , bolono, and other flavors), which my

husband loves and a prosage roll, that is like " sausage " . It is excellent.

It sounds like you are having a wonderful time there with your daughter. It

is nice that she has access to that garden allotment and you can go every day.

Glad to hear from you.

I have had access to most of the veggies you mention, but one of my

favorites is really producing right now. Spaghetti Squash!!! I think I

could have it daily. It is so versitile.

Happy to hear from you, keep eating that Quorn since we don't have those flavors

(yet) I'll be watching for them in the future.

Hi Donna

I discovered another product yesterday that may not appeal to everyone

but it was 'breaded faux scampi' It has been over 20 years since I've

eaten seafood and this tasted yummy to me. It's not something I would

want to eat often but a bit of a treat. I wrote the company and

unfortunately it's not sold in Canada or the US.

I head home tomorrow morning. Oh well, it has been great while it

lasted

Hi Audrey,

You are probably on the plane home now after a wonderful vacation.

There is a Chinese vegetarian restaurant near me and they serve the vegetarian

shrimp, it's way to near the real thing for me but it is such a popular dish on

the menu, especially for the non-vegetarians who tag along to eat with the

group.  I will have to find out where they order these from.
