Guest guest
In reading lunch ideas, I am wondering if it would work to cook Quorn fake chicken and then make a " chicken " salad for bag lunch the next day? Will the Quorn do anything funny? I've only cooked it and used it immediately. Also an idea I came up with after hearing a recipe for Satay Chicken Salad: Tofu Satay Salad! (I haven't made it yet, but I just subbed tofu in for the chicken) 1. Pressed, drained tofu cut into cubes 2. creamy peanut butter blended with a little sour cream or soyaniase 3. splash of lime juice 4. cilantro Blend ingredients 2, 3, and 4. Add tofu, grated carrots, and some peanuts for garnish. Serve over mixed greens or on bread like a sandwich!
Guest guest
yes, yes, and yes! I do it all of the time. it makes a wonderful chick'n salad. my mom in law cannot tell the difference too. I use the Quorn turk'y roast and bake it, then after it cools I cut it up and do up a chik'n salad with veganaise and Vidalia onion and a touch of sage and garlic powder. Guest guest
The Worthington Fri-chik sure does and even a wonderful Chik'n salad ball with crackers...... The Fri-chik and the Worthington Vegetarian Burger I use the very most. They are staples in so many recipes I make.
