Christie,

I love Sovex, which I understand is like your Marmite. I love to spread it on

crisp savory cornbread, or saltines and I use it in casseroles, soups, and to

make gravy.

I don't like yellow mustard at all, but I occasionally make a spread or salad

dressing using the brown spicy mustard.

Hi Dragon

I'm with you on the mustard dislike but I love love love Marmite - I'm

definitely in the minority on that one, especially in this group.

I can't remember if you've posted here before but it's good to see you

in the group.

Yes it's very similar, Chanda. It has been a few years since I last

tried vegemite and I seem to remember that it was a bit sweeter than

Marmite but they are both love em or hate em tastes.

I think Sovex may well be similar, Judy. Mostly I just use yeast

extract spread thinly onto a slice of bread but I should use it more in

cooking as it is rich in B12 and it does make a good base for soups and

stews. I must have some recipes somewhere - I'll post them for you if I

find them.
