Thanks Jo, but I cant imagine draggin my wife and kids on a 100 mile round trip just for a meal, my car wouldnt appreciate it either! Dont know whether we will go into Exeter either, its my kids holiday so they will want to be in the pool, and on the beach and doin kids stuff etc, and I want them to enjoy themselves. They only get one holiday a year so I want them to do everything they want to do. If you are in Exmouth there is a vegetarian restaurant in Exeter - Herbies in North Street. We have eaten there three times. The food is good. It is based more on English type food, and pastas etc. There may have been one curry. The deserts were good. The prices were medium. It is not posh like the Thai restaurant, but very pleasant. If you can travel to Plymouth, which is about 50 miles away, Veggie Perrins is well worth a visit. It is quite a large Indian restaurant run by a Ugandan whose family came here to escape from Idi Amin. He is really nice and chatty, and would change a a meal to make it vegan.
