Guest guest
I don't think I have said hello to the group yet, so Hello! I am not sure what hummous is suppose to taste like, but the recipe I tried yesterday was less than wonderful. I would love to see other versions of the recipe if any one wants to share ideas. The one I tried yesterday was: 2 cups peeled and chopped zucchini 1 tbs of olive oil 1 1/2 juice of lemon 3/4 c of sesame seeds 3/4 tsp sea salt 2 cloves of garlic 1 tsp paprkia blended to desire consistancy. Guest guest
Hi Leah - nice to meet you :-) I've never heard of a hummous without lima beans or chickpeas. I think it would be rather sloppy and watery made with zuchini. Try it with chickpeas instead. Guest guest
Hi Leah, and welcome from the Welsh connection. I dont know what the recipe you submitted is for but there is no zuccini in hummous normally? I think that if you substitute the zuccini for chickpeas ( garbanzo`s) and the sesame seeds for tahini, it would be a close thing?
