Guest guest
Hi Peter, Thanks for your reply and welcome! Now that I've redirected the posts to my usual email it's all less confusing. I have a dial up connection and it's been so slow lately that I can't seem to even log onto the website. I looked into getting higher speed access, but it's a bit more than I can afford right now, so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I can finish my online courses this semester. I do hope you can get your home connection back soon. Beth
Guest guest
Hi Beth Thanks - should be back up and running by the end of October. Unfortunately I was a bit screwed by my new landlord - I moved last weekend, and before taking the place specifically asked if there was a phone line. I was told that there was, but when I moved in discovered that actually all there is, is a box on the wall that you plug a phone into - but it's not actually connected to anything!!!! So a bit of a pain, but will get sorted soon. I'm still on dial up (when I have a phone line) - it is a bit slow, but it's so much cheaper than broadband at the moment (unless you're a TV addict and want 700 useless TV channels, then it's a fairly good deal!) - so I'm sticking with that for now :-) BB Peter On 19/10/06, betharon <betharon wrote: Hi Peter, Thanks for your reply and welcome!
