Guest guest
I had no idea that cats would even eat rice. The cats I know would turn up their little snouts at rice. Guest guest
Hi Louis I would think that it is fairly good for them - I don't think it would harm them. Guest guest
Cats are strange things, as a person owned by three I can tell you if hungry enough they will eat anything. Unfortunately as they get older and more spoilt, they tend to go for the best things they can get. Guest guest
Its good for humans too, backpackers with a touch of delhi beli will often eat boiled rice to settle their stomachs. It is a simple carbohydrate that is easily digested, thats why vets recomend it for sick cats and dogs.... Guest guest
shouldn't be if they were only fed that, sure but it won't hurt if they get it once in awhile if they are feral cats, bacchus knows what they are eating as well garbage lil critters they catch and kill etc louis stott Nov 17, 2006 3:34 PM Re: Q for all yes it is well cooked but im tryin to find out if its bad for them or not . any idas ?fraggle <EBbrewpunx wrote: I assume its cooked rice? rice is often fed to cats with stomach/digestive problems maybe they feed it to cats there because its cheap? louis stott Nov 17, 2006 9:19 AM Q for all im in spain at the moment and i feed the homeless cats etc but i see lot of ppl put out rice for them so what i would like to know is rice good for cats ???? Guest guest
Not bad for them as long as they eat other things as well, preferably dead things if feral, as they need a supply of taurine from flesh. I think spanish cats could probably subsist on a diet of paela?
