This is disgusting.............. The Times November 18, 2006 (John Stillwell/PA) Shop owner sent to jail after police find stuffed tiger cubs Two newborn tigers were killed, stuffed and put on sale on the black market in London for up to £20,000 each. The cubs were only ten days old and would not have been able to open their eyes when they were killed to be sold in the West. They were

among dozens of endangered animals seized in a police raid on a shop in North London, including a gorilla and a chimpanzee. Robert Sclare, the dealer, was jailed for six months, and the gruesome trophies put on show as police gave warning of a booming black market for products made from endangered animals, including polar bears, elephants and rhinos. Andy Fisher, head of the Metropolitan Police’s wildlife crime unit, said: “The world needs all the tigers it can get, but these two poor things never had a chance. Maybe if it wasn’t for consumer demand in London there would be a few more tigers in the world.” There are thought to be as few as 1,500 tigers in the wild, down from about 100,000 a century ago. Hi Peter,

As you said "This is disgusting" . I 'despair' when reading articles like this, especially in this instance.

The article said in part:- Maybe if it wasn’t for consumer demand in London there would be a few more tigers in the world.”

This has to stop with these 'people'. ( I am being 'polite' here!). It angers and saddens me that these atrocities are still going on! It is easy money within this awful trade - "money is certainly the route of all evil here"
