Guest guest
HI All We just had a visit from the Jehova Witnesses again - Peter, where were you when you were needed? :-) Anyway, I had divine inspiration and asked them what they thought of vegetarianism/veganism. They looked a little confused so I asked them if they thought it was right to eat animals. They said that Christians were given the right to eat animals at the great flood. I asked why they still continued to do so after there was no need and plenty of vegetation. Apparently they are waiting for God's new world and God to tell them when to stop eating animals. I asked why they couldn't stop eating animals now instead of waiting for God to tell them to be kind. Needless to say, they made a hasty retreat, which is a shame really. It didn't give me a chance to get any leaflets out for them. Jo

Guest guest
What compels them to think they have the right to disturb peoples peace and knock on doors trying to push their beliefs on strangers? Does the bible tell them they have to do it? Do these people have jobs, or does their church pay them to do it , as they seem to come week days as well as weekends? It seems a trait belonging only to christians, as far as I can tell. I have not had any buddhists, mulims etc round my street. Maybe some christians on here could answer this? Guest guest
I love it. I guess humans are the only creatures of God that deserve His protection. Even that logic doesn't work though, because think of all the humans we could protect, if people just stopped eating meat. The additional people that could be fed with the same land, the reduction is major serious illness and disease. So even from a selfish human point of view, there is no plausible argument for the continued consumption of animal. , " jo " <jo.heartwork wrote: > > HI All > > We just had a visit from the Jehova Witnesses again - Peter, where were you when you were needed? :-) > > Anyway, I had divine inspiration and asked them what they thought of vegetarianism/veganism.
