Guest guest
I just got back in from my annual chrimbo bash. We went to a Balinese/Malay restaurant and the set menu for vegetarians was : Starters Prawn Crackers ( nope) fried mixed vegetable fritters with chili sauce ( was o.k. ) mashed potato cakes with chili sauce ( didnt see any ) vegetable spring rolls ( hard to do wrong ) Also had vegetables in batter '9 like a tempura sort of thing. Main Course: Coconut rice ( nice) fried egg noodles with mixed veg ( nope ) Gado Gado ( didnt see it ) A soup with veg/bean sprouts etc coconut based ( too full to try ) marinated mashed potatoes stuffed in aubergine in a sweet siya sauce ( fiddled with it, but couldnt get my head around that one) french beans in a spicy sambal with onions, tomatoes, and yellow beans ( scoffed most of that!) Dessert was lychees stuffed with pineapple ( mega sweet ) oh and coffee. Bearing in mind that I had a few pints before I am stuffed as can be, and flatulant as a foghorn............ I told them when I went in that I was a vegan and that I wanted no fish sauce or shrimp paste in my grub, so hopefully they listened?!?!?!? How is everyone else doing? The Valley Vegan...............Peter H Send instant messages to your online friends http://uk.messenger.

Guest guest
Hi Peter I have mine on Monday so I'll let you know. Colin's company have a canteen and do a dinner every year. They have never provided a veggie dinner before, but this year they did roast vegetables and cous cous for him.
