Guest guest
I learned to sew just this past summer and am amazed at how much money I've saved repairing our clothes rather than replacing them. I had two cats then and before i got myself out, I made sure my cats got out, I safely went aroudn ym house, tryign to find them and then gentle placed them out nearby windows. If they were traped by any fire between us, that was goignto be the first thing i asked those firemen to do, but thankfully we all got otu safely. , " *mona " <ahnochirah wrote: > > Sorry to hear about the fire ... Guest guest
Yes, i sincerely beleive it is extremely convient for any woman (or man) to know how to do at least repair, learnign to sew to make decent clothign is a bit harder and takes a tiny bit more work and effort on your part. I am an artists at heart and love designing and making clothes. , " *mona " <ahnochirah wrote: > > I learned to sew just this past summer and am amazed at how much > money I've saved repairing our clothes rather than replacing them. > > Blessings, > *mona > > > , " angelikfiona " > <angelik_kitty_kat@> wrote: > > > > I dont hardly ever buy clothes, most of my closet is home made, my > > shoes are from good will and such. > > > > > > Oh I could afford brand name, I just choose to have more unique > stuff. > > > > > > > > > > , " jo " <jo.heartwork@> wrote: > > > > > > I don't think that the problem is with not buying home made > goods > > as much as > > > the fact that China does nolt have a good human rights record, > and > > their > > > workers are paid very badly - as are Gap and Nike workers. > > > > > > Jo > > > > > > - > > > " flower child " <zurumato@> > > > > > > Monday, January 29, 2007 8:01 PM > > > Re: clothing dilemma > > > > > > > > > > Everyone Judges, > > > > you are judging me for buying something made in china. > > > > > > > > I honestly have a hard time finding items that are made in the > > USA. > > > > and when I do find them, I do support the US depending on the > > > > circumstance.. > > > > > > > > Some people, when they turn vegan, decide to finish the meat > > that is > > > > in their Freezer that is good for the next two months. > (depending > > on > > > > how good your refrigerator is) so as not to waste that meat. > > > > > > > > during that interim period are they Vegan, or on their way to > > veganism? > > > > > > > > -anouk > > > > > > > > > > > > , peter VV <swpgh01@> wrote: > > > > > > > > > > Hi Anouk, > > > > > If I cleaned out my closet every spring after a year or > two I > > > > wouldn't have any clothes left!, I am still wearing jeans that > > are 5 > > > > years old, shirts that are the same if not older etc, I > generally > > only > > > > buy clothes in sales/second hand and then very rarely. > > > > > I try not to buy clothes that are made from places like > china > > etc > > > > as they could be sweatshop produced. > > > > > I am sorry that you feel the need to label a vegan > vegetarian > > just > > > > because they feel that they are being helpful by wearing out > > existing > > > > shoes, even if they only started going vegan and have not > bought > > any > > > > animal products since then. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > To send an email to - > > > > > >

Guest guest
I think we were more pondering the perhaps rethorical because unanswerable question of what is veganism. Difficult. No individual was visualized by me per se, but rather I (and you and others) were laying general concepts on the table to which I obviously wavered, but partook enrichfully. It resembled more a dilema of what do we make of this tarot card dealt to us. your friend, -anouk , peter VV <swpgh01 wrote: > > Sorry Anouk, > I know it aint perfect ideal vegan, but I couldnt care less, sorry to shock you, and no offence meant, but at least I`m honest. > I didnt pay for it, and I dont honestly think in my mind that I am promoting the wearing of leather with this one item, so maybe I will buy another vegan one to replace it, maybe I wont....... >
