This working week seems to have been very long! At least the mornings

and evenings are getting lighter.

After this chat about vegetables and gardening I must start making

plans for my garden this summer. Hopefully the slugs and snails will

eat elsewhere. I will try Bob Flowerdew's advice and 'sacrifice' some

lettuce leaves each night, to keep them away from my seedlings.

I agree, I've spent the last week pulling all nighters getting

clothing embroidered for Daytona Beach Bike Week (I own a commercial

embroidery co.). Lord help me, I'm dead on my feet.

And, I'm also growing a garden this year; planting a couple of

fruit trees has crossed my mind as well. I enjoy the planning of it

all but I've not decided how big I want to go. Our last garden was

just short of a half acre but we lived in the country then.

I like being able to see the garden after work instead of just

weekends.

I thought, for a second, you were serious about giving up on

gardening!
