Guest guest
I was walking to work this morning and had a scare. The campus has a new set of sculptures - a pack of wolves! I thought they were real for a second. Jo
Guest guest
One of the houses in my neighborhood has some life-size bronze sculptures of children in the front yard, and the first time we walked by, Jemma did a double take. (Jemma is a doberman.) >I was walking to work this morning and had a scare. The campus has a >new set of sculptures - a pack of wolves! I thought they were real >for a second. Guest guest
That's interesting - dogs usually seem to know. They must be good sculptures. Guest guest
She has a fine-tuned awareness of when things are out of place. When she was younger we used to put her toys on the coffee table, and she would nose-bump them onto the floor. On the other hand, when we had Gilbert, I was sitting on the floor one day with both dogs when I looked past them and saw a roof rat hop onto a chair. Neither dog noticed!! (And that was the last time I left a door open next to the ratvine.) I have so much faith in dogs' noses (and so much willingness to not have a rat in the house) that I almost persuaded myself that since the dogs did not detect it, it wasn't there. >That's interesting - dogs usually seem to know. Guest guest
About an hour later, I heard scrabbling as Jemma chased the foolhardy rat through the kitchen... and, alas, into the basement. We never saw it again. >LOL - maybe it wasn't there :-) > >Jo > >- ><yarrow > >Friday, March 09, 2007 2:56 AM >Re: Morning Walk > > >> She has a fine-tuned awareness of when things are out of place.
