Guest guest Posted April 11, 2007 Report Share Posted April 11, 2007 I made some terrific quick breads last weekend from the cookbooks Where It All Vegan and The Garden of Vegan -- cinnamon raisin bread, sweet potato corn bread, boston brown bread, and oatmeal bread (I added chocolate chips). Yum! A few recipes used " sour milk " made from vinegar added to soymilk, and for egg replacer I used a tablespoon of ground flaxseed in 1/6 cup water (let sit until it absorbed most of the water). Guest guest Posted April 12, 2007 Report Share Posted April 12, 2007 I don't have those cookbooks, but have made a couple of the cakes from 'Sinfully Vegan' which have been delicious - I would therefore recommend that book. Peter & Katy cooked us a lovely meal from an old book - The Single Vegan. The book is fairly unimpressive on first look, but there are some good recipes in there.
