Guest guest
HI All I was just watching a programme about people and their allotments. One woman grows her peas by soaking them in paraffin for half an hour before planting. This apparently keeps the mice from eating the seeds. What do people think about this? Guest guest
Makes sense, although I wouldnt fancy it. Best method I saw was to cut a length of drain pipe in half and fill with earth and start them off like that. Then when big enough to transplant, just dig a trench and slide the lot in. Guest guest
That sounds a much better idea. I'm sure they must absorb some paraffin - can't be good.
