It is fairly easy to be vegan on Long Island .. with still some many small farms for fresh veggies , health food stores and whole foods .. also most restaurants have got vegan meals now and some are totally vegan (not nearly as many as Manhattan) ..also on line (now that I found Internet shopping) is such a pleasure ..and I think my younger son is single handedly converting all females under 25 ..lol.. you still always have to explain yourself to new people and new places but that is par for the course .. so how about by you ? which is? be well Connie Bored stiff? Guest guest Posted May 4, 2007 Report Share Posted May 4, 2007 never been to London although traveled most of Europe and lived in Italy about 2 years.. but the Italians will try to eat any that is not a cat or dog..with a knife and fork of course ..when I got there and saw tons of tiny bird cages on lines in the backyards I thought..how nice putting out food and homes ..but then I realized they would close the doors, trap them and eat them .. very bad ..very sad ....for heavens sake ..how much could you eat off a sparrow? If you don't live near them you don't get the same choice.
