[Raw Food] GMO

> Hi everyone, I normally do not post on a bunch of groups like this but for

those that do not get any of Care2's newsletters, I am passing this on. It

is about Genetically modified foods. At the end of this article you can go

to Seeds of Deception, from there on top for Non GMO (I

think that is it) and then you can click a link to another site with a full

list of foods that have been GM. I honestly was shocked. I shop for my son

and everything I buy for him seems to be GM'd. What a shame!

After reading what GM foods do to rats I understand why some little babies

on formula get so irritable, cranking and unable to sleep.

ahhh!!! Attack of the giant mouse-tatoes!

Sorry, I just could not resist.

Seriously, though, that is why I try to buy locally

grown food, where I can talk to the person who

actually grew the food...

Now imagine that... :)

I heard abt tomatoes mixed with fish but dont buy the ones that arent grown on

organic

farms. I agree that it's outrageous and Francis LaPette [author and activist]

has a lot

to say about it too.

Its just gross!!!

In 1969, when I announced my committment to being vegitarian, my closest friend

told me of a nightmare she had in which I starved because meat chunks were put

in chocolate bars. I'm sure, even in her dream, tomatoes weren't being

contaminated.

So.. tomatoes (other fruits or vegetibles?) are being mixed with mousie DNA? My

objection isn't so much the DNA IN the tomato; its the mousies having to have

their DNA extracted! I'm thinking its not done uninvasively! :^(

One article on foreign protein incorporation:

Some of the transgenic issues:

They are also using toad dna in tomatoes. I think I've eaten my last

tomato. Yuk!
