Guest guest Posted July 6, 2007 Report Share Posted July 6, 2007 in between spending far too much time looking for employment, i've had a lot of time to fiddle with the garden this year The plums have just about finished... should have made a wine out of em, we had sooooo many Tomatoes are finally being harvested..took long enough this year... all the different peas are well past the halfway point in harvesting, and sadly..the gopher in the garden took out the third crop of the year.. gopher also took down all the parsley as well..the lil bugger! can't keep up with the beans (blue lake string and some others)...got prolly 3 pints in water of em in the fridge Basil, chives, oregano, and cilantro are going to town...tho going to lose the battle with the cilantro trying to bolt soon peppers are all flowering pumpkins have started their march to take over the garden...trying desperately to get them to grow on the fence, the porch, the grape trellis..and not just sprawl over everything else zukes and cucumbers are starting to fruit... as for flowers in the garden more nasturtiums, california poppies and borage then can harvest in a dozen lifetimes hollyhocks are over 10' tall hops are doing so so after neighbor chopped down 3/4 of em the other month and tons and tons of delicious blackberries! wheee fraggle When I see the price that you pay I don't wanna grow up I don't ever want to be that way I don't wanna grow up Seems that folks turn into things that they never want Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
