Guest guest
I have been busy since I joined this group and have not posted, but I have scanned the posts here. I must say that I feel at home. I tried one of the vegetarian cooking groups and found all the " wishing they could taste meat again " upsetting. Ethics did not play much of a role there. All their " pain and suffering " seemed to stem from not eating meat. People actually seem to CARE here! Yay! My compliments to the moderator and the members of Vegan Chat! Guest guest
Hi Don Welcome :-) I think that 100% of our members do not want to taste meat again. I know I certainly wouldn't want to. Presumably the people on some of the other lists are vegetarian just for health reasons. Oh well, at least they are doing some good by not eating animals. Do join in, or start a new discussion if you feel like it. Guest guest
Welcome Don! I muct say, I can't see the point of a vegetarian cooking group which still lusts after meat! A little confusing... Since taking the plunge into full on vegan I have not missed meat at all, and am experimenting fully with all other types of food at my disposal. I don't have as much choice as those in the US or the UK, in terms of finding tofu and TVP products locally, but having tried TVP in the past, ( and tofu still) I found myself eating them because I felt I needed their nutrients, rather than enjoying the taste! So not much missed there, and I'm still disgustingly healthy. With all best wishes, KYM --- Don Scott <donscott wrote: > I have been busy since I joined this group and have > not posted, but I > have scanned the posts here. > > I must say that I feel at home.
