Guest guest
here's what my wife woke up to this morning: glass of kombucha/mineral water cocktail cinnamon/raisin bread toast garlic rosemary oven roasted potatoes (from the freezer bag! delicious!) greek tofu scramble (saute " small planet " garlic/herb tofu [the best, right fraggle?] with onion and garlic, add some water and turmeric, add chopped sun dried tomato, chopped green olive, handful of fresh spinach, and some fresh ground pepper) side 2 of " in the court of the crimson king " by king crimson (that would be tracks 4 and 5 for the CD whippersnappers). excellent! as for myself, i was woken up by someone singing the " star spangled banner " in the park several blocks away for some sporting event....i prefer hendrix' version! be well, blake

Guest guest
Your menu sounds great! Since I've never heard of " small planet " tofu (no huge surprise), I was wondering what kind of herbs are in it? I'd like to try and re-create the " greek " part of the tofu scramble, it sounds like it'd be a nice change from the one I usually make, but I'm a bit at a loss as to what herbs might make it taste that way? Thanks! , Blake Wilson <mbw wrote: > > here's what my wife woke up to this morning: > > glass of kombucha/mineral water cocktail > > cinnamon/raisin bread toast > > garlic rosemary oven roasted potatoes (from the freezer bag! delicious!) > > greek tofu scramble (saute " small planet " garlic/herb tofu [the best, > right fraggle?] with onion and garlic, add some water and turmeric, > add chopped sun dried tomato, chopped green olive, handful of fresh > spinach, and some fresh ground pepper) > > side 2 of " in the court of the crimson king " by king crimson (that > would be tracks 4 and 5 for the CD whippersnappers). > > excellent! > > as for myself, i was woken up by someone singing the " star spangled > banner " in the park several blocks away for some sporting event....i > prefer hendrix' version! > > be well, > > blake >
Guest guest
small planet here: http://www.smallplanettofu.com/index.php?action=tofu_garlic our local (san diego, CA) co-op carries it, but not whole foods. it's the most dense, crumbly tofu i've had; it's almost like feta cheese. greek herbs would include oregano (greek, not mexican; there is a difference) as the main item, but also dill, marjoram, rosemary, and of course basil. the other ingredients in the scramble (SDT, olives, etc) are pretty important as well. enjoy! blake Your menu sounds great!
