Guest guest Posted April 6, 2000 Report Share Posted April 6, 2000 Hi Everyone. Well, I'm planning a wedding renewal ceremony in September. All food served is going to be vegan. I'm thinking of Italian foods and/or fall-themed options - All ideas are certainly welcome though- nothing is " set in stone " . I'd like ideas for foods that are easy to eat while mingling. I do not want my guests " stuck " in their seats. -looking for creative sandwich fillings, and stuffings for veggies, tapenades, things like that. While some offerings will be a little more " gourmet " than my friends and relatives usually eat, I will need some " familiar " type foods to serve them as well. Instead of a wedding cake, I'm planning on an array of desserts so any ideas there will be equally appreciated. Thank you so much for your time and any future responses! Guest guest Posted April 6, 2000 Report Share Posted April 6, 2000 Tiffany Refoir (Hi, Tiffany!) had a feature on vegetarian weddings on her About.com site, but I couldn't find it when I just looked for it. Hopefully, Tiffany will see this and let us know if that part of the site is still available and what the link is. In the meantime, she does have this feature about bridal and baby showers, which many of the recipes would work for a wedding too: http://www.vegetarian.about.com/food/vegetarian/library/weekly/aa032999.htm The wedding feature included some vegan cake recipes too. I had my wedding reception at my home and purchased lots of different premade items from a bakery, farmer's market, and grocery store. It wasn't all vegan, but some of the things were had were: raw veggies & dip, bread bowl w/dip, little tarts & quiche things, and roll-up sandwiches cut into small pieces. I know there was more, but that's all I can think of right now. ha ha! We too wanted " little food " that people could just carry around, and this worked very well. Good luck!
