Guest guest Posted August 2, 2000 Report Share Posted August 2, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Pasta with Tomato, Basil, and Garlic Sauce Recipe By :Eat More, Weigh Less by Dean Ornish Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Pasta Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 12 cups canned chopped tomatoes -- (2 28-ounce cans) 3 tablespoons chopped garlic 1 cup chopped fresh basil 1 teaspoon sugar Freshly ground black pepper Salt 10 ounces angel hair pasta 1/4 cup chiffonaded fresh basil In a large, nonstick saucepan, combine the tomatoes, garlic, basil, and sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer, uncovered, over low heat for 30 minutes. Season to taste with pepper and salt. Prepare the pasta according to the package directions. Drain the pasta well and divide into 6 servings. Ladle sauce over each serving and garnish with the chiffonaded basil.
