Guest guest Posted August 9, 2000 Report Share Posted August 9, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Lemon Tart Recipe By :Eating in Eden - Hermine Freed Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 recipe rolled oat pastry zest of 1 lemon juice of 1 lemon (about 1/2 cup) 1/2 cup apple juice 4 tablespoons maple syrup 1 tablespoon agar flakes 1/2 cup water 2 tablespoons arrowroot 1/2 pound silken tofu 2 tablespoons tahini (optional) 3 tablespoons maple syrup 3 tablespoons orange juice Bake the pastry in a pie tin for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, make the filling. Remove the zest from a lemon before juicing it and grate in a food processor. Put the lemon juice, the apple juice, and the 4 tablespoons of maple syrup into a small pot with the agar flakes. Brring to a slow boil, stirring until the agar dissolves. Mix the arrowroot with water until dissolved and add to the pot, stirring uuntil the mixture thickens. Add the zest and cook for a minute more. Add the mixture to the baked crust and chill.
