Lentils, Millet and Vegetables (Fakes - Kehri ke Lahanika)

1/2 cup lentils

1/2 cup millet

2 carrots -- chopped

1 zucchini -- chopped

1/2 onion -- chopped

1 tomato -- chopped

1 small potato -- scrubbed and chopped

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/3 teaspoon oregano

sea salt

 

Soak the lentils overnight, rinse well and place in a saucepan with 2 cups of

water. Cook over medium heat until the lentils soften, then add all the other

ingredients and simmer until the water has evaporated. Blend to a consistency

suitable for the child (i.e. creamy before teeth are present and more " lumpy "

when chewing is possible).
