19 ozs frozen potato-and-cheddar pierogi

2 tbsps olive oil

1 lb onion -- cut in half and thinly sliced

2 tsps sugar

3/4 tsp salt

20 ozs Brussels sprouts -- trimmed and thinly sliced

1 c vegetable broth

1/4 tsp coarsely ground black pepper

tender and caramelized, stirring occasionally.

Increase heat to medium-high; add Brussels sprouts, broth, black pepper, and

remaining 1/2 tsp salt; cover and cook until Brussels sprouts are tender,

about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
