Guest guest
Hi, my name is Joeann - I've been a vegetarian for 13 years and a vegan for roughly 3 months now - problem is, I've just got myself some contact lenses for the first time, (they're violet and quite nice) anyway, it wasn't until I was getting my introductory trial-pack of cleaner etc. that I realised I blew it - these solutions have got to have been tested on animals - Does anybody know of contact lens solutions which are cruelty free? Also on a different note, I believe some tea manufactureres use ox-blood in the colouring of tea (to give it that rich luxurious colour which we obviously need) - does anybody know about that, and which companies are ok ? Joeann __________ Nokia Game is on again. Go to http://uk./nokiagame/ and join the new all media adventure before November 3rd.

If the manufacturer has created a new chemical, they've got to check it's safe for humans. And before they're allowed to test it on humans, the pharmaceutical industry will have been obliged to test it on animals. The only alternative is if someone does a contact lens cleaner solution that made up of already known chemicals. I don't know much about what's in contact lens solution, but remember something about it including digestive enzymes (like a biological washing powder). What exactly is in it? Don't you rinse the lenses before putting them on your eyes? (So, this is an embarassingly basic question. Sorry.) > Also on a different note, I believe some tea > manufactureres use ox-blood in the colouring of tea > (to give it that rich luxurious colour which we > obviously need) - does anybody know about that, and > which companies are ok ? > Joeann > > __________ > Nokia Game is on again. > Go to http://uk./nokiagame/ and join the new > all media adventure before November 3rd. > > > To send an email to - > >
