I actually didn't have anything to apologise for thanks very much! This

world is getting too b****y PC for my liking. Everyone has to tread on egg

shells all the time for fear of upsetting a black man, a gay man, a blind

man. Urgh! This PC nonsense goes too far. Everyone knew I wasn't out to

hurt anyone, I was just making an innocent comment. So why the need to

everyone to jump on my back, telling me I *offended* them or suchlike and

then me having to apologise is total and upper c**p! Its always the same.

But this world is getting worst. Actually perhaps people should apologise

for their nit picking and sensitive behaviour. You want to a Dyke or

whatever, well fine, but don't take it out on me!

p.s. You knew very well that the comment I made was about something else

Richard brought up, so it was almost like you wanted to raise this PC gay

discussion/argument. Glad you got what you wanted! And no, I don't fancy

women!

I'm with you Jane

It is difficult making a light hearted comment these days

On one list I/others keep being asked for references when we make a

statement to prove what we have asserted It becomes a battle instead of a

bit of fun chatting with friends

The only way to get round it is (imo ) not to respond ,hard tho' that may

be --especially when others join in

Reality check:

Generally, requests for sources come not after light-hearted comments,

but after serious allegations. For example, when you wanted a Sab turned

Huntsman to be 'named and shamed', someone else rightly suggested we

needed some substantiation first. Which Edith supplied :). And when

someone else said that cooked rice, if not eaten immediately, could be a

source of food poisoning, you asked for info about studies, saying you

would assume that the story was meat industry propoganda otherwise.

Today, you've been asking for a reference pretty much all the time :).

Because Angie reported it, and I didn't think she accurately described

it :). Hopefully, we keep it to now ...
