Guest guest
Ian McDonald said As a sub-group. I think one can call a list for veggies a veggie list, a list for vegans a vegan list, and a list for fruitarians a fruitarian list. (Some raw foodies eat raw meat, so raw foodies as a whole aren't actually a vegan subgroup, but you get my meaning.) It get's worse, doesn't it? Some raw foodies eat raw meat? Very tasty, I'm sure. I never knew that but it shows how a *lifestyle* emphasis of (ostensible) self-health can undermine vegan ethical principals: it is only necessary to show some possible *health* benefit derived of killing animals! Does Janey's *Living Food* list exclude the animal-eating kind, I wonder? Or are they *friendly* too? *I share your skepticism, BTW, but not your tone.* Thank-you, Ian. I appreciate the matter-of-fact way you introduce us to the more shocking personal habits of *raw foodies*.
Guest guest
This e-group isn't called *raw food* or anything like that. Some people are 100% raw on the list, some others eat some vegan raw food, and some have joined the list to learn more. It is a vegan list though, just one where people eat varying amounts of *living* foods and want to find out more about it. A vegan list like vegan-chat is more broad and the topics range from vegetarian shoes to AR activities. This is purely a *food* discussion list. > > As a sub-group. Try replacing " raw foodies " in the above sentence with a derogatory term for the race of your choice. Then ask yourself if such a statement can possibly come from a reasoned, intelligent stand point. Peter --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. I would imagine that as Janey belongs to a vegan list (i.e. this one) it is unlikely that she would be interested in a list that talks about eating raw meat! Guest guest
Again, thanks Jo. I somehow feel that Rob knows this as well. Surely he doesn't expect me as a vegan who s to vegan lists, to join a raw meat list as well! I think he's just being annoying!
