Guest guest Posted January 12, 2002 Report Share Posted January 12, 2002 tis bad all over..in oakland, 2 teens took a puppy under an apartment building and lit it on fire..and hit it with a board...poor pup.. its gonna live..but, not gonna trust kids is my thought Charleston Man gets 30 months and fine in puppy’s death SC laws for animal protection are less than to be desired however this sentence is one of the best we have had. A 21 year old man plead guilty Thursday to killing his puppy in April 2000 by repeatedly slamming the puppies head on the ground. He received one of the stiffest penalties ever in a lowcountry animal abuse case. Circuit Judge Deadra Jefferson gave Jody J. Rymer the maximum sentence of five years in prison suspended to 30 months in prison with three years of probation and a $2000.00 fine.
