Guest guest
Hi all, Does anyone has any suggestions about how to lose weight on a vegan diet? I know the regular song and dance about exercising vs. diet, but I'm really looking for programs to follow or specific things I can cut out of my diet, etc. Also, I vaguely remember reading an article a few years ago that said it is harder to lose weight on a vegetarian diet because a crucial enzyme that helps you lose weight is in red meat. I remember reading that their is a supplement that a vegetarian can take, but I have no idea if this would be animal-derived. Has anyone ever heard such a thing? If so, let me know what it is! If you think it's total BS, let me know too. Thanks, Dawn Send FREE video emails in Mail! http://promo./videomail/
Guest guest
sounds pretty damn questionable to me vital enzyme my hairy tuchus losing weight is easier when you first become vegan, as the body sheds un needed wastes and fats and wotnot...(and more importantly, yer not adding unneeded fat to yer diet)....just takes awhile you will reach equilibrium after awhile, which makes any additional weight lose harder besides exercise, and eating less? got me...dieting aways struck me as slightly dangerous... stay away from processed foods, eat more fiber and fruit *shrugs* *bounds away* fraggle Dawn Ressel <dmressel wrote: >Hi all, > >Does anyone has any suggestions about how to lose >weight on a vegan diet? I think it really is a matter of cutting down on the fat content of what you eat, whether that is animal or vegetable. All pastry, biscuits, cakes, puddings etc are high in fat, and margarines are too. I would imagine that you should also cut down on sugary foods, and having sugar in drinks. Other than that, it's exercise extra. I lost weight (still more to go) when I found out what food intolerances I had - and I eat a lot more now than I used to. So it might be worth finding out what you can tolerate. I found out by kiniesiology but there are other ways as well. Good luck Jo --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. So it sounds rubbish to me. -- Ian McDonald http://www.tardis.ed.ac.uk/~type40/alternative.html http://travel.to/startrekcolony - Star Trek: Colony site & .mov http://www.tardis.ed.ac.uk/~type40/who-rpg.html - Dr. Who RPGs
