You glutton! pnut butter AND mayo. Why ain't you fat - and don't say you are because I've seen you!

My vote goes to avocado, mayo and mixed salad leaves, but it does need a sprinkling of salt to bring out the flavour of the avo, so probably not for healthy-eating purists.

It's early days yet, but I *think* I may have cracked the obesity/inability to diet problem. At least for myself, tho' if it works for me.... I don't want to say too much at the moment, beacause it's early days yet (started 5 weeks ago and as of this morning, 8lbs gone) plus if it really does work then I might cash in on it - plenty of other people have and at least my way's vegan and if it is the breakthrough (at least for me) that it seems to be, then if I can make money from it then SHAC and about a hundred other causes close to my heart can be supported in the style I think they deserve.

At very least I am reducing my risk of breast cancer and diabetes!

Cheers

My kids like either peanut butter or cheatin ham or cheatin chicken, can't persuade them to have any salad though.

I like avocado or hummus with lettuce, tomato or other salad stuff.

Well done! Let us know when you are ready what this mysterious method is, especially if it can make money for a good cause.

I have lost 9 lbs in my first two weeks back on Weight Watchers (not trying to outdo you, remember I am allowed to eat a lot as a breastfeeding mother so I don't have to cut back on food as much as most of those who are trying to lose weight). I had a bad week (ate quite a few chocolates over the weekend) this week so I don't think I've done so well, but so long as I haven't gained, I'm happy enough. I will know tomorrow, cos their scales are better than ours. But we are all allowed the odd bad week I think.

> I'm 2 1/2 stone lighter than I was last May. :)

wow, thats quite impressive, well done - (especially

over winter as well)

I'm 5'4 and lost 1 1/2 stone over a year, by going to

the gym and only eating when I'm truly hungry - of

course that doesn't always work, and I got kinda

worried that it probably wasn't good for me either -

coz sometimes I'd be really hungry but wouldn't be in

a position where I could eat, so I wouldn't - and then

the hunger would go - but I'm not too sure about that

approach -

Does anybody know, if erratic eating habits leads to

any problems, like diabetes etc ?

cheers

I don't *know* at all, but I would guess that it's unlikely to be bad for you because that's how most animals eat if you think about it. Feast when the living is easy then lose it when the harsh weather comes.

I've never heard of it being bad. How has your health been, generally?

Cheers

If you're hungry then that's your body telling you that you need food. You

should never ignore hunger pangs. If you're worried about your weight, then

snack on fruit. You shouldn't put on weight then.

Hi Lesley / Tammy / anyone else wondering...

> I've responded to a couple of messages but they haven't come up, is

Due to " that " incident a few months ago where we were infiltrated by a bunch

of idiots (new folk can look in the archives to see what I mean), I set the

list so that all new members are automatically moderated - I then have to go

in and unmoderate when people are OK (it's better than having a repeat of

what happened before). With Lesley, it looks like you've either subbed a new

e-mail addy, or unsubbed and resubbed, so thinks of you as a new

member. With Tammy, when you first posted a couple of weeks ago, was

playing about telling me the database was down, so I couldn't un-moderate

you. I then forgot about it - sorry. Anyway, is now behaving itself so

I've removed the " moderation " setting for both of you - future posts should

go to the list shortly after you send them!

Same will also go for anyone new (or any lurkers) who post for the first

time. It's purely a filter to avoid a repeat of an unpleasant incident, and

is only aimed at stopping spamming and troublemakers!

thanks Janey - keeping some fruit handy is a good idea

- coz I do worry about going beyond hunger (if you

know what I mean)

Hi Talisman

It's 14 pounds, and 1 kilo is about 2.2 pounds - so that must make a stone about 6.5 kilos (ish).

I thought I did very well in resisting the temptation to say that a stone was something you find in gravel driveways :-)

Glad to know men aren't immune tho'.

Re: Sandwich fillings

There you'd be wrong. I used to be overweight. I watched what I ate, took rough and ready count of the calories, and got it to go down againover the course of a year or so.
