Guest guest
Hi, As I mentioned in my earlier post, I am new to veganism and to this group. I am about to get married, and we plan to start trying very soon to conceive a child. One of my first concerns in making the decision to go vegan now is that my family may pressure me to eat meat while pregnant. I would love to hear from anyone who has experience with vegan diet during pregnancy, and also if anyone can recommend a resource where I might find a vegan-friendly obgyn. I am living in the southeastern US. Thanks, everyone, for being here! Lori (username: aurora_arwen)

Guest guest
Is your fiance going vegan with you or at least respectful of your decision? It's really important to have his support at least, I would have thought. My husband and I are vegan ever since before we were together and have three children, all brought up vegan. Our relatives accept it and respect it, but if yours don't, they need to be told that they have no right to control you! Guest guest
I was vegan for10 years before having a child . I had 4 sons all life vegans ..They are now 21,19,17,and14 . We are all healthy Is your partner vegan ? If not that is where you will have problems imo It is easy if both parents are confident and determined about the vegan diet - " aurora_arwen " <aurora_arwen Friday, February 22, 2002 3:27 PM Pregnancy and veganism > Hi, > > As I mentioned in my earlier post, I am new to veganism and to > this group. Guest guest
Hey Aurora and other women, I'm an almost 63 y. old man, almost 47 y. vegan. My fiormer life-partner/companion was vegan when she was pregnant and gave birth, and we raised two daughters. One is now almost 41and half y.o., the other almost 36. Both grew up well and healthy, without " children's deseases. Troubles didn't show up until neighbours started to " have pity " on the children " not having the funs of life " like sweets and candies, cakes and the like. For them fruits were not sweets... I suggest you look for a true naturopath, that isn't mixing with esoterianism, commercialism and the like. There are a few in USA too...Look for the closest vegan society, if not otherwise, through the all-usa umbrella. Vegan life style is better not worse!! Remember this, don't be afraid and dare to tell this to everyone. Of course, you must be consistent' Vegan is ethical, naturopathic is healthconcerned; both together is a multiple benefit. Best vision and practice to you! In Love and Care for Peace, toma On 22-Feb-2002 aurora_arwen wrote: > Hi, > > As I mentioned in my earlier post, I am new to veganism and to > this group.
