Guest guest
Walkers Beef and Onion crisps (which are definitely vegan) Wow I never realised this as most of the other walkers crisps have lactose or riboflavins in so I have generally avoided them. Beef and Onin used to be my favs...........wonder if the co-op down the road sells them *run down to Co-op to buy about a million bags* Shelloid
Guest guest
They are in the Vegan Shopper. Of course some things in there are out of date, for instance the Tomato Ketchup flavour are no longer vegan, so if you get the book from the Vegan Society, do still check the ingredients of foods. Most crisp companies don't declare the lactose, but Walkers are better than most at labelling as they do declare it if it's there. Just don't blame me for corrupting you with vegan junk food, if you get fat! Guest guest
I am glad to see you proved to your uni mates that veganism is healthier. Well done!!! do still check the ingredients of foods. I do and the beef and onion ones just say flavourings and don't specify which sort so I have avoided them just to be on the safe side Shelloid To send an email to -

Guest guest
I am curious.. do you make your own beer? It was my understanding that a fish byproduct is used in the brewing/filtering process, and therefore beer is not truly vegan. am I mistaken? Guest guest
I'm not really sure if they taste like beef all that much though, just pleasantly savoury, but I suppose they would not be your cup of tea. I have cut down on them lately with watching my weight. I used to eat three or four packets some days! Lesley Janey [jane.cuming]01 March 2002 08:33 Subject: Re: Yippee!! was RE: YuckYeah, I know! Guest guest
yes, i make my own beer i have also worked at several breweries isinglas(the fish product, it comes from certain fish bladders) is only used to filter certain beers, mostly english beers, especially tradional cask condition beers..it is rarely used in the US, tho, a few microbreweries do(thirsty bear in SF for one) no major brewery in the us does, but then again, there beer sucks..most breweries either use DME or a force filter(either ceramic or synthethic brush) cheers fraggle " lizyebe " <ladybentley wrote: >I am curious.. do you make your own beer?
