Guest guest
What Veggie Burger? Not where I live. Where I live a veggie burger is a bun with lettuce, tomato and pickles. Talisman Mac Donald's have said that their veggie burgers are vegan without the mayo, they have also said it is cooked in a separate oven from the meat, although they are far from how they should be,"Vegan". that is a start, it might be better to encourage kids and people to to try the veggie burger rather than completely condemning mac d's,

Guest guest
Sure Maybe we could encourage this but only against the alternative of McD's meat burgers - I'd prefer not to encourage the McShit people if possible. Guest guest
Mc D's in USA are being sued by Hindus who found that they were putting beef extract as flavouring in the chips . You can't really trust companies like McD's who are only in iy for the money and have no ethics . Its OK for new converts I suppose but I can't imagine long term vegans going there - Simon pJones Friday, March 08, 2002 9:05 AM Mac donald Lesley, Mac Donald's have said that their veggie burgers are vegan without the mayo, they have also said it is cooked in a separate oven from the meat, although they are far from how they should be,"Vegan". that is a start, it might be better to encourage kids and people to to try the veggie burger rather than completely condemning mac d's, SpTo send an email to -

It would still be supporting McDeath, which is a company thats animal and environmental damage is unfathomable, exploits it's workers, and is responsible for gentrification of many many low income areas. I'd hardly think offereing a veggieburger redeems them for this, and would in no way, shape,or form consider giving them my patronage. I say firebomb the lot of them(I just wanted to say that and not get booted....haha,Fraggle ought to get a chuckle outta this) Chris X
Guest guest
In the US the chips have beef tallow added to add flavouring !!!! The workers didn't always know so were saying they were veggie . McD therefore allegedly tells lies or deliberately misleads .They are being sued. . Perhaps its the same here ??????? - " xxx_suicidal_vegan_xxx " <XBobaFettX Thursday, March 07, 2002 10:56 PM Re: Mac donald > > No way. Guest guest
The lawsuit against McD's was started by Hindus, but any vegetarian who ate the fries containing beef flavoring during certain dates can file under the class action lawsuit. My boyfriend and I both filed and we're not Hindu. Also, McDs used to fry in beef tallow and never claimed they were vegetarian. This lawsuit happened after they switched to vegetable oil. They continued to add a " beef flavoring " to the fries, but didn't tell employees. Thus, the employees didn't know what was added to these fries before they arrived at the restaurants and the company told them they were vegetarian. They still use vegetable oil with beef flavoring. As far as I know, *nothing* on the menu is vegan besides a hamburger with no burger or mayo. Even the garden salad contains cheese, and who knows what's in the dressings. Beware of Burger King because their buns contain some sort of beef- derived flavoring. The BK fries are vegan. Besides, the lack of options, I also second the opinions about not patornizing companies that do so much damage to the environment and animals. I used to eat at fries and salad at McD's when I first started as a vegetarian as part of the transition - hence the lawsuit. ~Dawn , " Angie Wright " <angiewright@n...> wrote: > In the US the chips have beef tallow added to add flavouring !!!!
