Why don't women who don't want to have a baby, and want sex, at least

have their wombs removed, than they wouldn't have to have

abortions, seems a reasonably solution to me!

Perhaps contraception might be considered a slightly less drastic solution!

Seems to me that your " solution " is a bit like saying men who don't want to

have children should have their genitalia removed!

Are you saying that because a woman wants to have sex, without always having

babies, she should take the very drastic one-way action of having her womb

removed?

Do men ever want to have sex without producing a baby?

why don't men who want to have sex and don't want to have little kids have

their penis heads sown shut and a little hole made at the base of the penis

to piss out of?

*sly smile*

less invasive then having the womb removed, wouldn't you say?

Beyond that having a hysterectomy - particularly if ovaries are also

removed has serious long term health issues and isn't really a " reasonable "

solution.

It's exactly like asking men to be castrated.

Vasectomy is a more minor and simple op than female sterilisation (which is simpler than hysterectomy). Trust a man to suggest drastic steps to be taken by women! I'm pro-life but I don't agree with his suggestion.

I just had a giggle to myself - this *abortion* thread is now running on three vegan lists.

Just wondering whether its time to give this subject a rest for a while? There's no escape from this thread today whichever list I belong to!

Sorry Janey, I deliberately didn't raise it on this list actually for that reason, but someone else did!

well said lesley!!!

Simon I think you claimed to be non violent somewhere along the

line, I'm surprised that you should suggest such a clearly violent

and female focussed solution to the issue of effective

contraception!!

I realise now that he was not serious, he said so on , and besides in terms of violence it does not come close to abortion.

I think its fair comment for me to say that this subject is now spreading over three vegan lists. If I'm bored then I can say that, surely?!
