Guest guest
An American friend of mine is planning a trip to London and noticed that several London hotels are planning something called a *Cow Parade*. Quite a few hotels spread over London are going to have life sized cow drawings painted by various artists in their lobbies, dairy breakfasts, dairy promotions etc, etc. Anyone else heard about this? Guest guest
It may have something to do with the "Cow Parade" here in the states: artists, some better known than others, painted and otherwise decorated life-sized fiberglass cows and they were put on display in Chicago and New York. They now manufacture collectible replicas of these "cows." I worked in a store near Baltimore, MD that sold these obnoxious things by the dozens. We couldn't keep them on the shelves. Here's a link: http://www.chicagotraveler.com/cows_on_parade.htm The things that people waste time, money, and effort on never ceases to astound me.... --tofujojo www.tofu2go.com BTW, I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks and I love this group! It's a little piece of sanity for me amidst all the other stuff (like "Cow Parade," for example :-D) Message ----- Janey Sunday, March 31, 2002 12:09 PM Cow Parade An American friend of mine is planning a trip to London and noticed that several London hotels are planning something called a *Cow Parade*. Guest guest
Hi Fraggle > is there a rash of faux cow thefts about? If you ask me, it's all a load of bull.... ;-) > should someone call > interpol? I can just hear that now.... " Hello, I've lost my fake cow, I think it's been stolen " BTW, why *is* stealing cows called " rustling " ? Is it because the easiest way to abduct a cow is to put it in a paper bag - but it makes a noise? BB Peter --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
