Guest guest
Hi Casey > well i've read on a lot of vegan sites that basically honey is and isn't > vegan to each person.....i personally see it your way...that a TRUE vegan > will not eat honey..i don't eat honey... but...i don't think that he should > not be able to call himself vegan if he eat's honey ...that my own > opinion...sorry to cause an argument... Let's call it a discussion :-) What name would you suggest those of us who do not want to eat honey should use to distinguish ourselves from those who do? Isn't the whole point of having the word " Vegan " to make it blatantly obvious to the rest of the world exactly what we consume - i.e. no animal related products. Guest guest
Peter I understand that originally the Vegetarian Society was for vegans. Then apparently, some people started including dairy and eggs, and the strict vegetarians decided to change their name to 'vegan'! It's strange that it's the strict vegetarians who always have to change their descriptive name just because other people decide to change the description, isn't it.
