hey! Random bits of knowledge floating in my head here -- trying to organize them into something that makes sense -- oh, yeah! There is a group of fellas that are trying to get their foreskins back. (i.e. they felt that they've been gipped by having it sliced off without their say-so) What are they called? Ummmmmm..... "re-*" okay, I'm looking it up now...

But in America they do it routinely without anaesthetic to newborn babies, so it's definitely not cruelty-free.

Hi Lesley

Just wanted to clarify (I didn't make it clear in my previous post) - I don't necessarily *support* the idea of growing skin from foreskins!! :-)

No, I guess it wouldn't be. Do they use anaesthetics in other countries? I know the general belief is that at that age, the nerve endings are not fully developed and so they "don't feel a thing". I know the general belief is that at that age, the nerve endings are not

fully developed and so they " don't feel a thing " . I love how humans justify

things (i.e. if it doesn't sit up and say, " Ouch that hurts " it must not

feel anything... Kicking and screaming just aren't proof enough.) And then

there's the bris (sp?). Thank goodness I've never been invited to one. My
