Guest guest
OK, this might be a stupid question but I am a student who gets home late 3 nights / week, so I am going to go ahead and ask it anyway... I would like to drink juice every day. I have an Omega juicer that has been collecting dust for years and I finally have been using it for the last week after seeing a Jack LaLane juicer commercial and being reminded of the benefits of juicing. My question is whether there are any valid reasons why not to drink juice about an hour prior to bedtime. Is there danger of putting on weight because the energy of the juice won't be used? Might it interfere with sleep? I just bought a juicer similar to the Jack LaLane juicer (but it's noisier and has better reviews -- black plastic looking), and I look forward to juicing more because I think the new juicer will be easier to clean and there will be less preparation (no peeling off apple skins or cucumbers). Guest guest
Much better to do veg in the evening and fruit in the morning. Mixing fruit and veg is a not the best but the addition of an apple to veg will take some of the bitterness off. It is of course better to eat the fruit and veg without first putting it in the juicer as then you get the food just as Mo nature intended! Do you have any suggestions for a few good veg juices? I have the Omega juicer (non pulp extracting) and ordered the Breville JuiceFountain Professional which is on its way. I like my standard cucumber / celery / carrot / apple juice but it would be nice to have some others. Hope
Guest guest
I drink Green juice up to 1/2 hour before bed and do not feel any ill effects. It digests quite fast. I would not however drink fruit juices at night. It would keep me up for one, and if I do go to sleep, it's not a deep quality sleep. Finance Tax Center - File online. Guest guest
Hope, Given that the place for juicing is for detoxification and part of fasting almost any greens will do. Otherwise I use a juicer for people who eat a cooked diet. It is a mistake to remove the fibre from regular food. Guest guest
If you have trouble falling asleep after having sugar stay away from veggies like carrots as they are full of it ) I always recommend this book, it is amazing, it is like my juicing bible: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0007662394/qid=1080311821/sr=1-1/r\ ef=sr_1_1/103-1921904-6948656?v=glance & s=books It's got 365 recipes for juices and smoothies and it also has lots of really helpful information about the fruits/veggies that are used in the recipes. -Abbey =) >Thanks for your reply Peter.
