Guest guest
Hi. This is Mary Ellen and I was just wondering, how long have you been a " raw foodist " and are you " one hundred percent " raw? My daughter, Angie and I have been " raw " for 5 days (counting today). We are not sure if we are 100% raw because on Saturday we went to our local health food store, or as we call it, the " hfs " , and we each bought a " Guru Chew " which is a really delicious " candy bar " , and we suspected that perhaps it was not " raw " but we greedily devoured it anyway, because we obviously have no self-control. Also, we ate some " Genesis " and " Ezekiel " bread which we also suspect may not be " raw " . Although we are really hoping that it " is " because we miss bread. We " really " want to do this " 100% Raw " and do not want to cheat, so if anyone has any info on these products, please let us know. Peace, ~*~Mary Ellen~*~
Guest guest
******* and we each bought a " Guru Chew " which is a really delicious " candy bar " , and we suspected that perhaps it was not " raw " but we greedily devoured it anyway, because we obviously have no self-control. Mary Ellen.... i have just had a rough day and this made me laugh right out! I LOVE going to the HFS and finding yummy treats. I do know the Ezekial bread isn't raw (because it is baked at regular temps) but atleast it's made from spouted stuff ;o) I have fallen off the raw-wagon but i'm trotting behind and hope to hop back on soon. I have NO control when i am ill and really it's so easy to go back to old ways. Keep up the good work and i would say don't sweat a guru chew or a slice of Ezekial bread now and then. The more raw the better, but you are unbreaking a life-time of habits so be kind to yourself. Same goes for your daughter. How COOL that ya'll have each other to do this with!!! peace (and loads of love heading your way for the way you wrote this email, you tickled me!) nikki --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
Nikki! How nice to meet you. Well.... (huge sigh), I guess I will g-r-a-d-u-a-l-l-y wean myself from my beloved Ezekiel bread. But that's ok because I know that it is for my own good. Yes, I agree that I must be kind to myself because my fam (aside from Angie) have no sympathy for me whatsoever. They think this is just another crazy sheme (as if I have " ever " had a crazy scheme before). And yes, Angie is a wonderful support to me, although it is somewhat disconcerting when she says to me on a " daily basis " , " Mom, we can't live with these flesh-eaters anymore! Please, run away with me! " I tell her, " Angie, dear, I still have a child and a husband at home. I can't just run away. " She then replies with, " But, Mom! You know that I am the only one that matters! " She has the soul of an only child. Well, let the " raw-food " odyssey continue! Hop back on that wagon Nikki and run away with us (if only in spirit). Guest guest
Mary Ellen- Hi...Just wanted to let you know that I believe Ezekial and Genesis breads are not raw. Although the grains used in them are sprouted and living, I dont think that it is completely raw. I have some recipies for raw breads if you need them. Also, I dont believe that bar you and your daughter had is raw either. Sorry to burst your bubble !...If you have a sweet tooth, I have some excellent recepies for you. Good luck!! -Katie Mary Ellen Wolfe <Wolfegang wrote: Hi. This is Mary Ellen and I was just wondering, how long have you been a " raw foodist " and are you " one hundred percent " raw?
