On another site they said that Vinegar is not raw. is this true? I buy Apple Cider Vinegar and it says its raw on the label. I s some vinegars raw and others not? Or is there hidden heating involved, like with the Nama Shoyu? Thanks, nyia
Guest guest
If the label says raw, it should be raw. Can you see white stuff (the mother) floating around in it? That should indicate it is raw. ~Wendy
Guest guest
Why is it not raw? It is not cooked (Heated). So why not? Guest guest
> Vinegar is not raw by any test. I have made it before and it was fermented but not cooked. The mother was alive, so I consider it raw. I assumed store bought raw would be the same. But I could be wrong. ~Wendy

But it's still is diffrent than DEAD or distilled, vinegar. However, as far as this group is conerned it does not meet the definition of RAW. rusty - " ky_wendylynn " <ky_wendylynn <rawfood > Tuesday, March 30, 2004 6:44 PM Re: [Raw Food] Vinegar?? > > > > Vinegar is not raw by any test. > > I have made it before and it was fermented but not cooked. Guest guest
If you check out my reply to the message " Thanks and a question " i found many sites that talk about how it's made and as far as apple cider vinegar goes, it is raw. Do some research on Google, that's how i found lots of info ) Sometimes it's good to check things out and not just take my (or someone else's) word as the truth. I had to start doing that when i would see two totally opposite statements and knew only one was true. I'm like you.... just curious about it all. Good luck and let us know if you find out any info! peace nikki Why is it not raw? It is not cooked (Heated). So why not? --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
