This lifestyle can have that effect on many. I know that great changes are ocurring in my life on all levels and have read numerous stories from others. However, each person chooses how they want live their life. Also, it's no guarantee that every person proclaiming to be raw is actually raw. Having an abundance of knowledge does not guarantee one is utilizing it. Most obese people know exactly what is required to lose fat, but are overweight. I'm sure that can apply to many in the raw food groups. Listen to your intution and let it be your guide. Hope everyone feels better soon. Guest guest
Lili, I believe that this person is being overly sensitive, or trying to play the part of the victim. What you said is actually a well know concept within recovery programs. I am an alcoholic, and know just how right you are. For years I know everything there was to know about how to stop drinking, but it didn't help me to stop. There is a huge difference between knowing how to do something and being able to do it. The first step of 12 in addiction recovery is: " admitted we were powerless over our addiction and our lives had become unmanageable " (Suicidal thoughts are an example of both our powerlessness, and how our lives become unmanageable) Step 2: " came to believe that a power greater then ourselves could restore us to sanity " The significance of this is that we were not able to do it ourselves, and that our efforts had been a failure. This is along the lines of what you were saying. We know what was needed, but could not do it. Good insight Lili ! Guest guest
Noble admission, Rufus, On the subject of addictions I take the view that the first stage is to get the substance out at a physical dependence level. This can usually be achieved in two weeks as any drug addict should know. To get there is the challenge. The fastest and easiest way is by fasting. Then get into green leaves to reduce the craving and get the chemical balance of the body into an alkaline state. As has been said before in this forum the most addictive substance for the human race is cooked food which it also uses to poison pets and farm animals on. After that come some other tough nuts such as alcohol, tobacco, raw sugar, grain, French fries, hard drugs etc. The whole lot can be done and as I had an affection for most excluding " hard drugs " and including things such as twenty cups of coffee per day, I know the list can be worked through. A point to bear in mind is that as one goes on kicking rubbish out it gets easier. Guest guest
Hi Alex, Could you elaborate on this ? I don't know what you mean. Guest guest
Basically according to some views, all the cravings are caused by deficiencies. Once you get proper intake, they disappear . Make a search for a " primal diet " - may be very helpful. Alex Rufus Shaw wrote: >Hi Alex, > >Could you elaborate on this ?
