Guest guest
I've been thinking of uppping my fruit intake. And I wanted to thank the ladies who informed me of fruitarinism, I plan on emailing you guys personally. Okay I have been doing a search and been hearing about fruits that I would like to purchase been seem to find a difficulty in getting my hands on them, I happen to live in New York and definitely would like to eat these fruits. One of them is nothing new, but can't seem to know where to buy them. 1. Durian: I hear and hear about them. i have read up on them so I know what they look likebut would love to taste them, fresh. 2. Jack Fruit: When I lived in london, you couldn't walk past an indpendent grocer without seeing them. I come to the states, and people don't even know what they are. So I would bve very glad to for any info on them. 3. Coconut, fresh, young: I can't seem to get my hands on this fruit. Ugh..would love to drink and eat, but can't find it. 4. Guavas 5. Kumquats 6. Pomegranates If anyone can tell where in new york I can find them, or a websit which would deal with selling hard to get exotic fruits. Let me know. Guest guest
VB, If you want to be a healthy fruitarian, you must eat ONLY the fruits that grow naturally in your geographic locale! In the New England area, apples, plums, peaches, raspberries, blackberries, etc are naturals. Also almonds, walnuts, and filberts are natural. The foods you mention are not! The foods that grow in your geographic location will have the nutrients that your body needs for life in that geographic area. The herbs (dried and fresh veggies) that grow in your area are the ones that heal the illnesses in your area! I know you will ask...what do I do in winter. I faced this same dilemna. So I learned what fruit grows in my current (not former) geographic locale and then either eat the dehydrated fruit or rehydrate it and eat. Here in SLC, I could grow grapes, strawberries, watermellons, apples, pears, apricots, tomatoes, etc. I could not grow oranges, pineapples, mangos, etc. While I will, occasionally, treat myself to these non-local foods, I do not eat them on a regular basis as they do not contain the nutrients my body needs for this climate! mary --- vaberella <vaberella wrote: > I've been thinking of uppping my fruit intake.
