Guest guest
Mary is probably the only person who can answer this: Whenever I drink wheatgrass juice or green powder mixture it puts me to sleep. At the raw institute I sleep through just about everything the first two days. We started the first week with 1 oz/ wheatgrass juice x3/daily. THe 2nd week and subsequent we took 2oz, 3x/daily. I was tired all the time. I did not know it was the juice but quit taking it naturally from not having a supply until appr a week ago. I took only 1 oz in the evening and then the next morning and it put me to sleep by the same afternoon for over 3 hours. I was tired for 3 days. I ordered a green powder of grasses and algaes and took it this morning. Within 1/2 hour it put me out for 1 hour. What is happening? Is it my liver? The reason I ask is that I have problems with blurry vision. It stopped after 2-3 days at the raw institute, and it gets worse the worse my diet gets. Is the various forms of grass juice detoxing my liver too fast? I just awoke from the green powder drink and my eyes are affected: bright light hurts them and my vision is more blurred than usual. I'm not necessarily going to give up. I'm planning on taking the green powder drink an hour before bedtime HOwever, I'd like to know what is happening in order to deal with it more effectively. Like, should I be supporting the liver more or something?? Oh, and by the way, I have been debilated with fatigue for several years now enough to not be able to work. --anne
Guest guest
There is nothing " strange " about this reaction. There are no wheatgrass juicers in Nature, nor powders of algaes and grasses. These concoctions are human-made, and have no place in our bodies. The grasses are plants, and they contain natural protective toxins, which are concentrated in the liquid. If you eat grasses, and some are quite delicious, then you can only consume so much, and your body will tell you when to stop. On the other hand, when you drink copious amounts of the juice with the concentrated toxins, the body must detox from the substance, so it goes to sleep in order to do that. Algae are probably little animals, not plants at all, though " science " is still trying to decide which they are. They are often referred to as " pond scum " , and truly, look at the stuff growing on rocks in shallow rivers, does it look appetizing? My advice: Forget about juicing grasses, taking powders, pills, potions, animal products, all the stuff that you have been convinced to eat. Eat real food, beautiful, appealing food, which is naturally compatible with our bodies: raw fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds.
