Guest guest
Kathy, Re: " At 38 I went through menopause " There are so many reasons why a woman will stop menses and doctors diagnose this as menopause all the time! I really doubt you were meno and that your ovaries stopped functioning. This was diagnosed for me also. I read that stress zaps you of progesterone because it is secreted from same gland as cortisol and the cortisol, responsible for fight or flight, is much more important for survival, so takes it from progesterone. If you are under stress, your body is protecting you from further stress, i.e. pregnancy. I natural progesteron cream may have restored your menses. I can't bear the amount of ignorance going on amoung the doctors. My gyne also diagnosed me thus. It led to a debilitating depression in my case since I had no children, gone through a divorce at 32, having been legally separated for two years, since 30. Progesterone restored my period every 28 days exactly in my mid 40's...even though I was using the progesterone everyday so the 28 day cycle was being regulated by my ovaries, which weren't dead afterall. This just 'grates' me!! You might as well refer to doctors as Customer Service Rep or Client Contact Person for the drug industry, since prescribing medicines seems to be only thing they do now. Did you go through nightsweats and things like that at 38? Unless you did, you probably weren't meno but anyway after your pregnancy, so not as big deal but could have made a difference in your health. I get info on natural hormones at Power-Surge.com and get natural progesteron cream at health food store. --- The Mitcheners <spiritfire wrote: > Mary > > At 38 I went through menopause and I went to a > doctor an he documented my > case. > >> > pregnant with my last child age 38 > Win a $20,000 Career Makeover at HotJobs http://hotjobs.sweepstakes./careermakeover

Guest guest
Hi Barb Thanks for all your thoughts..Gee I am really sorry about the situation you been through. You said Inatural progesteron cream may have restored your menses I did take this route and it didn't help. I was one sick women...I would skip my period for three months and then hemorage for 3 months.I refused to be cauterised. When I was given natural progesterine the one and only time I took it I was rendered unconcious and became very emotionally different...needless to say I didn't take anymore.I used a nutritional program from Herbalife and it balanced me out and I have never had a period since. It has been almost 10 years since my period stopped. I Kathy
