Guest guest
Should I be jumping into 100% raw food or will my body completely freak out and detox? I suppose everyone is different but I would love the feedback.
Guest guest
Personally, I think your body would freak out and detox. I would never try going 100% over night. I'm too toxic and the shock of going all raw overnight would zonk me bad, I'm sure. - Anna Stephanie writes: > Should I be jumping into 100% raw food or will my body completely > freak out and detox? Guest guest
What people may interpret as the body freaking out, is actually just the body asserting its vitality and its determination to aggressively cleanse and heal. Keep in mind that the body is a completely self-cleaning, self-repairing, self-healing marvel, and that the body is always doing these activities, regardless of what we eat. With what most people eat, their bodies are constantly being heavily toxified, and the poor body is working so very hard to just find places to stash the toxins since it can't get rid of them fast enough. When the toxins stop coming in, the body's job becomes easier, it can just get rid of the residual toxins in a much more unhampered manner. That's really all that is happening, along with a resurgence of vitality that was being sapped by the body continually being in an emergency condition of having to deal with so much constant toxic influx. Most people take a somewhat gradual approach to going raw vegan, paring down the toxic substances from one's diet at one's own rate. But certainly it's up to the individual, and if one is ready to jump into raw vegan in one step, I would not discourage them, there is no advantage in prolonging putting toxins into the body. There may be dramatic and frequent detox symptoms, but they will not be harmful in any way, though they may be very uncomfortable for a while. Also, if one jumps right into raw vegan from a SAD diet, there may be backsliding at times, as one adjusts to the total change in diet, falling off at times. It's important not to get discouraged, but to get back on the wagon as soon as one is ready. Guest guest
My husbands has experienced diahrea the past couple days. I wonder if you would consider this a detox symptom. He doesn't think he's got stomach flu -- He did eat a fair amount of nuts the past few days, and I know nuts are low in fiber and I was wondering if he didn't get constipated and just having bypass diahrea sorry to be gross, but those are my questions... Peace, Cathie
