Guest guest
This may be a " tmi " topic for some, but I wanted to know some things about raw food lifestyles & what more to expect of my body. As I said in my introduction just a few days ago, I've been dairy- free, meat-free, caffiene-free, sugar-free & refind carbohydrate- free for just over a month now. I read in a book recently that living this way will soon cause my #2's to float, if they aren't already... which is supposed to be a very good thing. My #2's haven't floated since my early childhood years. Why? What causes this? How does one go about achieving such a feat? (I can't believe I'm so publicly asking such a question) What causes them NOT to float? Does anyone else out there have this problem AND is anyone else interested in making such a change? Thanks SO much in advance, pb.
Guest guest
Hi pb, Well it is my understanding that it is a lack of fiber that causes " sinkers " so then of course with enough fiber you will have " floaters " ! When we stick to a raw food diet we do have floaters and never have tummy aches or are constipated. When we are bad and go back to eating processed cooked foods we do end up with sinkers, usually have cramps and not regular. So it makes sense to us. < This may be a " tmi " topic for some, but I wanted to know some things about raw food lifestyles & what more to expect of my body. Guest guest
I'm sure this is only a partial answer, but I think it may be based on the amount of fiber you eat. I'm sure there are other factors as well, transit time? intestinal flora? Any scientists/scatologists out there?
