Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I joined this group a couple of days ago. I must admit I'm a little overwhelmed with the variety of posts - information overload, you might say. My husband will soon have surgery for the removal of a kidney due to cancer. I want to get him excited about the " raw food " way of life. I know the cleansing and herbal treatments are important too but we can't jump in full tilt... we need to get started and add other things to his program of recovery. So: Can you suggest some good books or sources for presenting raw foods to the table? Where do I start in finding a good raw diet? Thanks for this group. All information is important and appreciated. Where do I start in finding a good raw diet? Linda, When my wife was laying in the hospital I read (for myself) Dr Andrew Weil's book called " Spontaneous Healing " In reading this book it first allows you to fully grasp the power the " mind " has in healing, one has to " WANT " to get well. That's half the battle. The actual stories are amazing. One note about the book which I can attest to is that Dr Weil humorously commented that in all his years as a doctor, he has NEVER seen anyone sick who is MADLY IN LOVE !!! (or something to that effect) He said he just can't find a way to " bottle " that product !! What he was driving at is the ability take control of your health with help from the mind, not just diet. -- Bill Schoolcraft | Life's journey is not to arrive at the PO Box 210076 | grave safely in a well preserved body, San Francisco,CA 94121 | but rather to skid in sideways, totally http://billschoolcraft.com | spent, yelling " holy shit, what a ride! I realize the importance of treating the whole person... Question though: How did reading the book help your wife? I can see it must have helped YOU. Chuck would go for dietary changes and food supplements and maybe H2O2 cures or Teas... He may be open to the spiritual side of healing too. How will I know unless I try? If I read the book, I may be able to influence him to some degree. Thanks for your interest. Linda
Guest guest
Linda, the links section on the group home page has many resources through links to specific web sites and materials. One I found very helpful was the site www.hacres.com with a comprehensive approach, simple and straightforward information and direction to start without having prior knowledge. The person that started the site was healed of cancer over 30 years ago and has helped millions since.
