Green Drinks: What are they all about?

Whew! I've been reading a lot of online journals today and have

noticed that a lot of raw foodists begin their day with green drinks.

Why is that and what is in a green drink? Is this some type of

supplement I don't know about or something homemade. I've been eating

raw for about half a year now and I'm still learning. Is this

something I should add?

Talking of myself, green drinks refer to blended / juiced greens (green leafy

vegetables etc)

Commercial green drinks are also sold but they don't come anywhere close to the

freshly made green drinks.

Wheatgrass carrot is a good fresh green drink. The carrot juice helps the

wheatgrass go down smoother...it's pretty strong stuff. Or spinach/beet/carrot.

If you don't have time to juice your green drink, you can use a green drink mix

like Dr. Schult's Super Food, it's got lots of goodies in it. It's dried and you

add water. I also add dried beet juice and dried carrot juice. Pretty good stuff

for on the run.

Thanks Bharti. Can you tell me how much do most people drink at a

time. Would a morning green drink exceed one cup? Also, I read your

story today on one of the journal boards I've been visiting. Your

story was incredible. Do you have before pictures? I saw your after

photos and you look great. Congratulations :)--- In
